I was raised as a musician and in my great rebellion became a dancer in high school. In 2000 I went to college and received a BFA In dance and Choreography at the California Institute of the Arts in Valencia, Ca in 2004. I came back to Sacramento to help my family’s business and after a year I went to every dance studio from Elk Grove to Granite Bay and dropped off my resume. That’s how I found Arthur Murray. Arthur Murray changed who I was in the service industry and it changed my life. My husband, Pedro and I met at Arthur Murray, dated, and were married in 2007. Eleven years later we have four beautiful girls ages nine, seven, four, and nineteen months. It's pure joy and insanity. We bought the Arthur Murray Studio in July of 2013 and have truly learned some amazing lessons as a small business owner. We have now been in this business for fourteen years and I can’t imagine my life doing anything else. Here we are today trying to give back to our community and thanking you for your time. The non-profit I have chosen to give a portion of the proceeds I raise is the Alzheimer's Association.

My name is Kelli Foley and I am proud to be running for Honorary Mayor of Carmichael. Our town means more to me than simply a place to hang my hat; it’s where I was born and raised and where I purchased my first home and several homes since. I am passionate about Carmichael and everything it has to offer – its people, its parks and gardens, and most importantly its unique sense of place. Throughout my life I’ve been anchored in this community and remain intent on investing in its economic growth.
In my earlier life I became skilled in the craft of neon tube bending. This led me to open my first company, Tri-Neon, in Carmichael where I employed over 15 people for more than ten years. While I loved my business and its employees, I wanted to change course in a way that would be more beneficial to Carmichael. I felt passionate about helping to beautify the community and help bring positive visibility to the town. As a result, I obtained my real estate license and entered the field of real estate. I am now an 18-year veteran of the industry. I’ve worked in every aspect of the residential real estate world, representing sellers, buyers, investors and banking institutions.
I began investing in blighted and neglected properties throughout greater Sacramento to rehabilitate them and enhance the landscape of its townships. In 2015, I purchased the building at 4901 Marconi Avenue and relocated Trillium Real Estate. I am the Broker/Owner, and I have seven extremely talented, professional real estate agents that work with me.
As Mayor of Carmichael, I plan to bring my real estate and marketing expertise to the forefront, enhancing the positivity of our community spirit and promoting growth in business. I will encourage businesses to work with me to achieve improved growth via targeted awareness campaigns and marketing strategies. Community improvements are important to me, and I will work hand-in-hand with the Chamber of Commerce to make Carmichael a greater place to raise families, work, enjoy life and create memories. We have much to be thankful for in virtue of our vast natural resources and surrounding beauty, and I will work tirelessly to keep Carmichael a pleasant and viable place to live.
I am a member of the National, California and Sacramento Association of Realtors, Carmichael Chamber of Commerce, and a lifetime member of the Masters Club – Sacramento Association of Realtors. I am also a certified short sale & foreclosure specialist. When I’m not working I enjoy hiking, biking and playing with my two rescue pups, Lucca and Tallulah.
Every dollar I raise counts as one vote towards my mayoral campaign. The charity I have chosen to support with monies raised is Carmichael Parks Foundation. I will be hosting various fundraising events to help raise money for my campaign, and I look forward to meeting with and hearing from fellow residents of Carmichael.

Express hope. Create dreams.
My name is Kristen Garl. I am humbled and honored to be running for Honorary Mayor of Carmichael. My goal is to express hope and create dreams among the youth, residents, businesses, and visitors of Carmichael by supporting decisions that positively impact the community.
Why Carmichael? Although I am not a resident, I am a businesswoman supporting Carmichael. As General Manager of Express Employment Professionals – Northeast Sacramento office, our territory encompasses Carmichael. Each day, I interact with job seekers, businesses, schools and services that impact Carmichael’s economy. Specifically, I enjoy volunteering as Principal of the Day and teaching employment readiness topics within San Juan Unified School District. My office was recognized as a Most Valued Partner by San Juan Unified School District in June 2018. Beyond our standard process, I am strategically working on a proposal to connect local employers with SJUSD Career Technical Education (CTE) graduates to overcome a portion of the trade skills gap in the NE Sacramento area.
Who am I? Born and raised between Baltimore, MD and Philadelphia, PA, I am an original “East Coaster”; however, I have spent the last 20 years in the Sacramento region. I am a U.S. Navy Veteran having served on the USS McKee as an Electronics Technician (ET). My naval career allowed me to live in and visit different areas of the United States landing me in San Diego. Prior to joining Express Employment Professionals, I was a Program Manager for Cokeva, a global high-end electronics repair company in Roseville. Over my 15 years with Cokeva (formerly Comtek Computer Systems), I managed multiple production lines, supply chain functions, and personnel. I believe in continuous education and recently earned my Professional Human Resources, California (PHRca) credential. For business and pleasure, I have traveled from the Wisconsin Dells, WI to Ft. Lauderdale, FL; Rehoboth Beach, DE to Seattle, WA; Loveland, CO to Tucson, AZ. My next trip will be Coeur d’Alene, ID en route to Kalispell, MT. I enjoy meeting people across our country like “Delaware Joe” who I met in Oregon. I believe in spending money in small communities like Carmichael to help boost their economy one dollar at a time.
What can I offer Carmichael? I will bring my knowledge to each decision-making session in hopes that my experiences and connections will positively impact Carmichael. For instance, I recognize the homeless population is growing in the Sacramento region. My connections with Volunteers of America and Women’s Empowerment plus other agencies in the local area can add value to a discussion on homelessness in Carmichael. Through Express, I am a member of the Carmichael Chamber of Commerce, the Greater Arden Chamber of Commerce and the Rancho Cordova Chamber of Commerce. These memberships afford me the opportunity to learn about local community concerns and successes which provide me a comparison when supporting decisions for Carmichael. Ultimately, I want to offer my professional and personal experiences, community connections, 20+ years of personnel management, and operations leadership as a chamber public figure to the Carmichael community.
Which non-profit? Choosing a non-profit was very difficult for me – not because I don’t want to support a cause – because I am lucky enough to connect with many each day such as VOA Veteran Services, Women’s Empowerment, Sacramento Job Corps, and Northern California Construction Training (NCCT). In focusing on Carmichael, I asked my team to vote. We chose The Playmakers.
The Playmakers mission and creed supports disadvantaged kids in the San Juan Unified School District, Folsom- Cordova Unified School District and Woodland Prairie Elementary through “Coaching Character, Winning with Honor, and Pay It Forward core values.” The same values local employers tell me are missing from today’s workforce. Using mentors from Sacramento State’s football team and other organizations, the kids gain a positive role model who guide them on a journey to learn soft skills and improved interpersonal traits. Founded in 2009, the organization began as a summer football camp with a focus on character building within the sport. Since, it has evolved into an after-school program and provides other coordinated activities for at-risk youth. I believe investing in this program supports our local youth by providing a structure for them to grow into contributing members of Carmichael and surrounding communities. https://theplaymakers.org/
In closing, Carmichael is an evolving community; I look forward to supporting it on a personal and professional level. A donation of $1 equals 1 vote, so please support my campaign through donations and event attendance,
