Celebrating Juneteenth and Honoring its History

The image promotes Juneteenth, encouraging support for Black organizations, learning about history, and engaging with Black creators.

Happy Juneteenth!

❤️💛💚🖤

On June 19th, 1865, two and a half years after Abraham Lincoln issued the Emancipation Proclamation, Union troops arrived in Texas and more than 250,000 enslaved Black people in the state finally learned they were free.

We celebrate and recognize this historic June Nineteenth as "Juneteenth"— a day to honor freedom, resilience, and Black history.

Juneteenth means freedom. It means equality, and it means the end of a terrible chapter in our history and the beginning of a new chapter where we work towards a better future for everyone.
