Lilia Darbinyan is a committed educator and community leader based in Sacramento, California. She is the founder of the Karapetyan Armenian American Academy, an academic enrichment program dedicated to advancing Armenian language proficiency and cultural knowledge among youth. In 2025, Mrs. Darbinyan opened Karapetyan Private Elementary School—formerly El Rancho Private School—located in Carmichael, where she serves as principal and oversees a rigorous curriculum centered on academic excellence.

In addition to her educational leadership, Mrs. Darbinyan serves as President of the Sacramento chapter of the Society for Orphaned Armenian Relief (SOAR) and actively works with Passion Mission, a nonprofit organization committed to serving vulnerable communities. She is currently pursuing a law degree at Northwestern California University School of Law. With a deep commitment to public service, Mrs. Darbinyan is dedicated to fostering community empowerment and advancing opportunities for youth through education and civic engagement.
