Meristem

Meristem is honored to be named the 2026 Nonprofit of the Year by the Carmichael Chamber of Commerce. Located on a 13-acre campus in Fair Oaks, Meristem takes a holistic approach to preparing autistic and neurodiverse young adults for a life of independence through integrated day and residential programs. In a supportive, hands-on environment, students develop a foundation of practical life skills, social-emotional competence, and vocational readiness.
Community members can directly support these job training programs by eating lunch at the student-run Meristem Café (Wednesday-Friday) or by purchasing a Meristem Herbal Arts Box with products grown and made on-site. By empowering this talented population, Meristem is not only transforming individual lives but also strengthening our regional economy and building a more inclusive and vibrant Sacramento community.
