Lacey Martinez has a vision of creating a more adaptive community, as the co-owner of Tangle Free Low Sensory Hair Salon in Carmichael, California. In 2020, Lacey and her mother opened the salon with the vision of providing a calm, welcoming environment for individuals who find traditional haircut experiences overwhelming due to sensory sensitivities, autism, anxiety, ADHD, or other disabilities. Through patience, understanding, and personalized care, Tangle Free has become a trusted resource for families across the region and has proudly been recognized as Best of Carmichael in both 2024 and 2025. Lacey believes every person deserves to feel respected, supported, and celebrated for who they are, and she is passionate about making a positive difference in the lives of the families she serves.

In addition to her work at Tangle Free, Lacey is a proud mother in the San Juan Unified School District and is actively involved in supporting students with disabilities and their families through the Special Education Advocacy PTA. As both a parent and community member, she has seen firsthand the importance of ensuring families have access to resources, support, and meaningful connections. That is why she chose to partner with the Special Education Advocacy PTA as the beneficiary of her Honorary Mayor campaign. Lacey believes that investing in local families creates stronger schools and a stronger community, and she is committed to using her platform to raise awareness, encourage inclusion, and support opportunities that help every child and family thrive.
