Mike Rockenstein

Mike Rockenstein is a long-term resident of the Carmichael community with active involvement in his local community, having served on the Carmichael Recreation and Park Board for 12 years (8 as chairperson) and currently the Carmichael Planning Advisory Council for the last five years (2 as chairperson). Mr. Rockenstein was also one of the co-chairpersons for Measure G, a successful ballot initiative designed to improve Carmichael Park and Recreation parks and facilities. In addition, Mr. Rockenstein also serves as Scoutmaster for Carmichael Scout Troop 328 of Our Lady of the Assumption Parish which has been in existence since 1955.
Mr. Rockenstein’s designated charity is the First Tee – Greater Sacramento, a youth organization designed to build life skills for individuals through the game of golf in the Greater Sacramento and Carmichael community. The First Tee – Greater Sacramento provides programs free of charge to over 56,000 individuals in the region, many disadvantaged individuals – as well as for over 88 schools in the area, including several in the Carmichael area. He has been a board of director for the First Tee – Greater Sacramento for over 10 years and has also served as chairperson for the last three out of five years.
Mr. Rockenstein is married to his wife Jill (over 20 years), a native of the Arden-Arcade and Carmichael community, and has twin children, John and Morgan, who attend high school in the area.
